A Podcast helping you with your game shelf!
Podcast Hosts
Brad Davies
Brad is a professional Audio/Video Editor, podcaster, and gaming nerd. He enjoys diving deep into all forms of gaming to find the quirky and interesting niches, especially in the indie and zine gaming world.
Brad reigns behind the soundboard as Lord of the Board in his most recent project Theatre of the Mind Players, an Actual Play podcast exploring the gaming sphere outside of the realms of D&D. You may also know him from his previous co-hosting duties on Plot Points where he helped take RPGs seriously by analysing the literature aspects behind the games we play.
Brad hopes to take the insights and inspirations found during discussions for Gaming Shelf Help and to apply them to his current gaming design projects.
When he’s not gaming or working his day job, Brad is usually found relaxing close by either his wife and gaming partner, Sarah; his dogs, Trinity and Jango; or all three.

Drew Kotche
He/Him
If you’re reading this you must be interested in learning more about us, are bored, or both! This is Drew, I’ve been playing ttrpgs for 25+ years, starting with AD&D 2nd edition.
I have since played and ran in countless games and in numerous systems. During college was when I played the most frequently and that was during D&D 3rd/3.5, so I enjoy some good crunch to my games. However I’ve also grown to love PbtA systems and many others.
I’ve known Brad and Sarah for about as long as I’ve been gaming and have had characters killed by them, killed theirs (ask Sarah about her Ewok). Brad and I also took part in an epic weekend long session as part of a summer long campaign I ran. In the real world I work a day job and have a wonderful family with kids at home, so my gaming time these days is somewhat limited.
That being said I’m currently in two games, one that meets every week online for about 2-3 hours and another that meets monthly in person for 8-10 hours. I also squeeze in video games when I can and try to read books on my never shrinking to be read list.
Thanks for checking us out and I hope you enjoy Gaming Shelf Help!
